As a current year 11 student attending Sydney Girls Highschool, my years at 'My Montessori’ make up a truly unforgettable and significant part of the early developing stages of my childhood. The Montessori approach to educating children through self-directed activity, hands-on learning and collaborative play is undoubtedly one that is highly successful; apparent in not only my own development but that of my siblings, peers and fellow graduates. I found that the freedom that I had choosing and completing activities with the equipment supplied greatly increased engagement and, therefore, willingness to learn whilst simultaneously encouraging creative and independent thinking. I will forever be grateful to Mis Nida and the rest of the staff for their unrivalled dedication to my learning and the time I spent at Montessori Preschool will always be fondly and gratefully reminded upon.

Thanks to Montessori Preschool in Raby, my three children were able to spend the crucial years of their childhood in a nurturing environment. All of my children, now in Year 11, Year 7 and Year 2 attended. Due to the solid range of basic skills they learned when they were younger, my children are active and ready to take the lead in whatever they do. The Montessori preschool provides self driven activities and hands on learning. The day I visited for the first time remains in my memory, and I was intrigued by how each child chose their own task in their own freedom focusing on performing to the best of their abilities. Thanks to spending their early years at Montessori, my children grew up in the way I hoped and imagined. Proud graduates of Montessori in Raby, my children and I will always thank Miss Nida and the rest of the staff for their hard work and dedication.

I was looking around the area for the best preschool. I didn’t know much about any method of schooling then, as I was a new mom and new to Australia. My game plan was just to follow my instincts. There are stools/centres that I visited wherein I wanted to leave as soon as I entered. I consider it a blessing to have found Montessori in Raby. It is a preschool where the activities are purposeful and indirectly prepare the child for academics. The environment is prepared very well, most importantly - the Montessori teachers. The teachers became my partners in raising my children. Their concern and genuine love for the Montessori method are shown in their work. I also have met a lot of wonderful people in Montessori. I remember being excited during pick-ups and drop-offs because I looked forward to seeing the Montessori family. truly, the Montessori method is all about community building. It was 13 years ago when I first encountered the Montessori method and through Montessori I never looked back.

It is the best school for children to experience everything they can learn at the beginning of their lives (sociality, rules, good personality, consideration) and don’t have to worry about studying. A long-time experienced principal will educate the child herself. It also enhances a child's ability and aptitude that parents didn’t even know. Teachers respect parents' opinions and actively discuss them. Montessori is the best school my child doesn’t want to leave after graduating.

We are Thankful for the care and lessons that our children have received in their early years. we’re a family with 6 kids, so we have been part of the school for more than 10 years. Friendly staff, interaction with families, Montessori method of learning, interesting activities for the children, excursions and an excellent outdoor playground are the reasons why we keep bringing our kids to learn at Elizabeth Marcarthur Montessori.
